@dfeldman The touch framework is actually free:
"The DHTMLX Touch library is distributed for FREE under both GNU GPL and commercial Licenses. You can use it in your open source or commercial apps at no charge."

@paul.lazarev I don't know much about DHTMLX. Their online demos are a little glitchy on my iPhone 4S. And, I personally wouldn't consider them because if you don't want to distribute the source code to your app, it's $466 USD per app to license their framework.

One more HTML5 mobile framework to look at - DHTMLX Touch: http://www.dhtmlx.com/touch/
It would be interesting to know your opinion on it.

Thank you for the thoughtful review. The main advantage of <a href="http://seotoolster.com/seotoolster/html5-player/html5-video-player-audio-player/ "> html5 music player</a>seems to be for embedding rich media such as audio and video in modern browsers. Although, the structure elements seem to be useful. CSS3 seems to be headed in the right direction, leaving many possibilities for implementation and creativity,

hey. I'm glad you made this follow up post. You're previous post about HTML5 vs Native helped me makes some important decisions on a project I'm currently working on. I'm in the middle of a android / iphone app project that I couldn't take on unless I went with HTML5 approach. I wanted to point you to a cool jquery replacement library that has been serving me really well. Its called Zepto zeptojs.com
Its super lightweight and has the same syntax as jquery. What makes it amazing is that you create your animations like you would in jquery but zepto translates the javascript into webkit's CSS3. Its only webkit because its geared for android / iphone webkit browsers. There are a few other frameworks that are using the same concept. Naturally anyone would agree that CSS3 animations are clean, fast, and where its at. I'd love to here you're opinion on this. Thanks! I'm a fan of your musings on this topic.

@dfeldman Since Sencha v1 they've improved scroll speed, initial load time, rotation response time, etc. v2 is nice. Can't speak well to your particular documentation holes.

@luckymethod That's great to hear! Both for my benefit and that of others reading here, what's the best way to get up to speed on (1) Sencha Touch development in general, (2) the changes since v1, and (3) the details of the data model, since that's where I got hung up in the docs last time?

Hi Dave, I work for Sencha (so we get that out of the way). We took the criticism about documentation holes seriously and Sencha Touch 2 is a completely different beast. We're currently in RC2 and it would be interesting to see what you think about it. I'm sure you will be very pleasantly surprised, and if you have criticism please let us know, it makes us grow and get better.
